Faith Armstrong-Foster founded Onward Wines with the deliberate intention of making site expressive Pinot Noir. In the time since, the Onward portfolio grew to include Malvasia Bianca in still, macerated, and pétillant natural styles, Pinot Noir from the Cerise Vineyard, and a collaboration of field blends with Angela Osbourne of a Tribute to Grace, named Farmer’s Jane.
Farmer’s Jane provided the root system for the Farmstrong Wines. The motive for the collaboration was to provide fresh wine at an everyday price in the form of a Field Red, Field White, and Field Rosé blend of various vineyards in and around Napa Valley. Family, distance, and general time constraints made the Farmer’s Jane partnership difficult to sustain, and Faith’s will to continue the exploration bred the Farmstrong Label.
Sourced from vineyards in the Suisun and Redwood Valleys in harmony with a harvest from Contra Costa, the Farmstrong wines demonstrate a sublime middle ground between single vineyard estate bottling and mass produced industrial wine.
